Barton College Logo-blue-foor-quote

At Barton, we meet you where you are and get you to where you want to be. Your personal and academic goals become our goals to help you plan the best path to achieve your aspirations. There are lots of opportunities for you to follow your specific interests.

A strong foundation of knowledge

Becoming a critical care transport nurse, whether you transport patients in a helicopter or in an ambulance, isn’t something that you can achieve overnight. It takes time and experience. Most important, you have to have a strong foundation of knowledge to build on, and that’s what Barton gave me.

Hillary Manning

Class of 2006 • Critical Care Transport Nurse

I use the skills I learned at Barton

The small, intimate classes prepared me to teach my content area, manage a classroom, and uphold the teaching standards. I also cultivated lasting relationships with my professors. Years later one still serves as my mentor. Now, as a principal, I use the skills I learned at Barton to foster creativity and growth in current classroom leaders.

Krystal Lane Cox

Class of 2007 • Principal, Wilson Academy of Applied Technology, Wilson, N.C.

You become an individual with a name

“You become an individual with a name when you walk through the doors of Barton College. Once you enroll, it becomes a home for you. Completing the RN-BSN program at Barton opened up opportunities for me to teach nursing students and to pursue my Master’s Degree in Nursing Education. Now, I am enrolled in a Doctor of Nursing Leadership Program, with plans to graduate in 2021. I am thankful for the opportunity I had to expand my education at Barton.”

Amber Williams

Class of 2016
