College Writing Adjunct Instructor

The School of Arts & Humanities at Barton College is accepting applications for Adjunct Instructors in College Writing. This position will report directly to the Dean of the school as well as the Director of General Education. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to teaching traditional and non-traditional undergraduate students.

Required Skills and Experience

  • MA degree in English and/or 18 hours in the discipline
  • Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience teaching college writing 
  • Collaborative disposition
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to working with students and colleagues of diverse backgrounds

 

Please note this particular position is for a face-to-face candidate. While online opportunities may become available in the future, candidates for Fall ‘24 need to be prepared to be on campus a minimum of two days a week.
